The Story
Growing up in Tarkwa Bay, Lagos, Godpower “GP” Pekipuma watched The Endless Summer. Seeing surfers who seemed to walk on water inspired him to learn to surf.
Years later, I arrived in Lagos wearing an Endless Summer shirt with Nigeria printed on it. Looking for a surf lesson led me to GP on Instagram—and then to Tarkwa Bay.
That lesson became a friendship and eventually GODPOWER, an award-winning short film made with GP, his family and community. Bruce Brown Films—the company behind The Endless Summer—later joined the film as Executive Producer.
Full circle.
Godpower Surf carries that story forward.
Godpower receives a share of the profits from every sale. Geoff funds and manages the design, production, storefront, fulfillment and promotion of the brand.
